**How can you make a difference?**

Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, the Education Officer develops and manages education interventions for vulnerable refugee, migrant and host community children in Egypt. The Education Officer provides technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting. The Education Officer contributes to the achievement of results on education programs/projects to improve equitable access to education and learning outcomes, especially for children who are marginalized.

- Research and analyze regional and national political, health, social and economic development trends and provide information to facilitate programme development, design and preparation.
- Support preparation of technical reports and provide inputs for programme preparation and documentation ensuring accuracy, timeliness and relevancy of information.
- Contribute to the development/establishment of sectoral programme goals, objectives, strategies, and results-based planning.
- Provide technical and administrative support to programme planning, results-based planning (RBM) and monitoring and evaluation of results.
- Prepare required documentations and materials to facilitate the programme review and approval process.

- In close collaboration with internal colleagues and partners, collect, analyze and share information on implementation issues.
- Guide on routine programme implementation and submit reports to alert appropriate officials and stakeholders for higher-level intervention and/or decisions.
- Participate in and prepare minutes for programme review meetings and monitoring and evaluation exercises for follow up action by higher management and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the use of programme resources and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, donor commitments and standards of accountability and integrity. Report on issues identified and follow up to ensure timely resolution by management/stakeholders.
