Our Policy & Government Affairs team collaborate with government entities and policy organizations at local and national levels. We address legislative and regulatory issues that promote the discovery and development of innovative medicines, vaccines and animal health products while improving and protecting patient access to care.

The External Affairs Director is focused on making our company and its point-of-view heard at all levels of external stakeholders and at the same time building alignment internally across all functions on global and regional levels. Work location is (Cairo, Egypt).

In this role you will continue to transform the function with the help of your technical understanding, leadership skills, personality traits and active relationship network. In addition, you are a key counsel to the General Manager on matters of corporate reputation with regard to media, governments and the general public and leads patients access and policy shaping both internally and externally. The role combines strategy with operational efficiency, speed, and effectiveness.

**Main responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Lead the public and media relations function in Egypt and the internal communications function.
- Lead Policy, Access, Patient Engagement and Communication
- Develop effective partnering strategies with payers and healthcare providers for the successful commercialization of our company's products in Egypt
- Develop innovative healthcare solutions strategies in line with the company's overall business priorities and strategy
- Provide strategic leadership and tactical execution of the PR programs and manage PR firms, as required

**Qualifications**:

- We are looking for a senior, experienced, inspirational and creative executive with a strong track record in the Public Affairs function
- Must be based in Egypt (no relocation)
- In-depth knowledge of the Egypt Pharmaceutical market is a fundamental requirement of the position, especially as it relates to pricing and reimbursement initiatives, data presentations, patients access and policy knowledge and experience and regulatory issues; an active relationship network to Egypt Health Authorities is advantageous
- Excellent understanding of the developed or worked with effective health outcomes strategies and dispose over an active relationship network in that space
- Strong leadership capabilities, demonstrating experience in successfully driving significant change projects/ transformation initiatives with energy and impact
- Well organized, results-oriented able to operate effectively within a complex organization and across diverse cultures cross
- functionally
