**Summary**

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager, Grants Management** **& Fundraising,** **is** **to manage project

grants that are sub-granted to National Scout Organizations (NSOs) in the Arab Region, identify fundraising

opportunities, and ensure project management of funded projects within the scope of the Regional office.

The role entails a strong operational approach to the work with hands-on responsibilities to ensure the

efficient management of funds and projects. It also entails close collaboration with stakeholders from the

team of staff, NSOs, and external partners and donors.

The role involves the development and support of fundraising efforts at the organization.

This position is part of a dynamic regional team within a value-based organization that offers continuous

**Responsibilities**:
**A. Grant Management:
applicants as appropriate.
- Prepare compliant projects for approval.
- Work with grantees to develop appropriate metrics to measure and track progress and ensure

the timely delivery of reports.
- Ensure that grants are implemented according to the operational and financial needs of the

organization.
- Monitor the status and compliance of ongoing funded projects.
- Identify and escalate any deviations and due diligence issues in the sub-granting and project

monitoring process to the appropriate level in the organization.
- Maintain records, monitor paperwork, and other related documents connected with funded

programmes through sub-grants.
- Continuously identify and develop strategies to optimise the grants administration process.
- Produce success stories in collaboration with NSOs and the communication department.
- Undertake responsibility for the full project management cycle of funded projects in the Region

according to the highest project management standards, including stakeholder management,

project implementation, financial management, reporting, and impact assessment.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned by management.

**B. Fundraising and project development**:

- Research funding opportunities and communicate with donor organizations and partners to

identify possible areas for collaboration in coordination with management.
- Develop fully fledged proposals, concept notes, and project documents for presentation to

relevant partners.
- Act as a WOSM Services lead for capacity building for NSOs related to partnerships, fundraising,

and project development.

**Job Requirements**

**We are seeking a person who is able to**
- Establish working relations with development organizations and articulate concepts and proposals.
- Provide support to different stakeholders.
- Contribute to the overall work of the Regional office by playing a full and active role as a member of

the Arab Regional Support Centre.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding confidential information.

**Experience**
- At least 5 years’ experience in project or programme management in a multinational developmental

setting, preferably including some of the following: project planning, monitoring and evaluation,

budgeting, and workflow management.
- At least 5 years’ experience in grant management, monitoring and reporting.
- Experience in remotely dealing with programmes and teams is required.
- Experience in working with volunteers is desirable.
- Experience working with or engaging as a volunteer in the non-profit sector, ideally involving grant
- making, grants administration, and grant-seeking will be considered an asset.

**Desired knowledge and skills**
- University degree in relevant field.***
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both oral and written. Literacy in any other WOSM language (French,

Spanish, Russian) is considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability in fund raising, proposal, and project document formulation.
- Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal forms, with highly effective inter-personal skills.
- Ability to turn around files and projects with a high degree of organization, efficiency, and decision
- making.
- Ability to work well handling multiple work streams and communications at once.
- Strong project management skills with an understanding of agile project methods, and to lead or

coordinate international teams.***
- Ability to work and co-operate within an international and multi-cultural framework.
- Computer literacy:

- Comfortable in using standard business software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is required.
- Ability to leverage social media in a business context.
- Experience in project or grant management software would be considered an asset.
- Proven capability to solve problems, cope with stress and handle conflicts.
