Head of HR

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Handle the departmental budget, and expenditure relating to human capital and administration.
- Responsible for overseeing payroll for the employees based in Malta and the UK.
- Take lead in managing the mid-year performance management process as well as the training and development needs.
- Be a strategic business advisor to the management team regarding key organizational and management issues by providing leadership and guidance with respect to talent acquisition, career development, leadership development, and compensation.
- Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning conversations with the management team.
- Provide support to the leadership team on all HR related matters, including change management, grievances, and legal case preparation when required.
- Be familiar with legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring HR compliance.
- Be a spokesperson for a positive work environment.
**Your experience and background**:
- At least 6 years of experience in HR, with 2 years in a leadership role.
- Previous hands-on experience in Talent Management and Learning & Development.
- Experienced in designing and implementing training programs and meeting training needs.
- Experienced in managing the HR budget.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese/UK/EU employment legislation.
- Experience in working in a fast paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- A high level of integrity and a conscientious approach to work.
- Attention to detail, able to track everything in an organised manner.
