Presales Solution Architect

**About the role**:
Mission / role purpose
Solution Architect are experts in solutions and/or technology related to the value propositions offered by their Business Line. This enables them to have an expert dialogue with the Customer and with the account team supporting the Business Line and general sales growth.
Key accountabilities
Understand customer’s objectives and requirements. Positioning, creating, proposing solutions related to their Business Line meeting customer’s objectives and requirements.
Depending on the set-up, the Solution Architect will:
- act as a champion role in a certain technology or domain within his/her/x busines line or
- be accountable for end2end solutions combining the products in scope of his/hers/x business line or contribute to a part of the end2end solution within the scope of his/her/x champion role; this includes the required service wrap costing and sizing support ownership.
Accountable for the Business Line related solution activities from qualification till handover. This includes:
- Qualification activities (understand and influence customer’s requirements/evaluation criteria, position consulting-led approach, engage with partners, prepare the internal organization prior to RFP, )
- Proposal related activities (define solution strategy, design or support design of the the right solution, obtain solution validations, proposal texting, costing, )
- Support and contribute to contract signature & handover
Be the specialist for Business Line solutions:
- In depth knowledge of the solution(s) and blueprints offered by the Business Line
- Maintain an in-depth technology expertise related to the Business Line
- Keep up to date on the market technology evolutions related to the Business Lines
Be the Solution Cost Owner:
- In depth knowledge of operational models, build organisations and associated costs.
- Ability to benchmark cost bases according to market standard and best practices in a fair manner. Avoid LoE duplications or gaps.
- Proper/fair proposal scoping.
Be the SPOC for Business Line solutions:
- When requested, support Sales Specialist in customer conversations related to the Business Line
- Create a trusted relationship with the customer’s technology stakeholders relevant for the opportunity
- Engage with the relevant partner solution SPOC’s (prior or during the opportunity as required)
Contribute to the evolution of the Business Line’s solutions:
- Engage with internal product organizations as required (share customer feedback, influence product roadmap, etc )
- Contribute to Business Line’s re-usable blueprints creation and adaptation

**About you**:

- Able to

- In-depth knowledge of the solution & blueprints offered by the Business line

- Knowledgeable about market technology evolutions related to the Business Lines
- Solution Architect: 3 to 5 years experience in customer facing organizations within the telecom or IT industry or equivalent.
- Proven track record in creating and positioning solutions to customers needs
- A relevant degree in Telecommunication field is expected Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading, listening) Strong and proven service delivery in IT and Telecommunications Industries.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint and excel) in client consulting or presales engagements is required Excellent writing and delivery of high finishing quality documents
Technical:
- Excellent understanding of telecommunication business and technology inclusive of solution justification
- Excellent network (LAN & WAN) technical architecture knowledge (Cisco and Fortinet certification is desirable)
- Expertise in high level design and solution description Proven track record in technical leadership for complex project (design and/or implementation)
Professional skills:
- Business acumen, customer focus, finance techniques and knowledge, negotiation techniques, products and services, sales essentials, solution Design and solution Selling
