**Role purpose**

A dynamic, fast paced role in the Corporate Services Middle East, North Africa & Turkey (CS MENAT) team responsible for Cost Management, Risk Governance & Oversight and Business Management. The role is part of the CS MENAT Offshore Regional Team based in Cairo Egypt.

**Impact on the Business/Function**
- Cost Management: Support in providing robust financial planning, management, tracking and reporting to ensure the regional and country costs are within plan
- Management of BAU reporting of costs including provisioning, and account reconciliation by coordinating with country CS team, Finance and other functions where applicable to ensure the CS costs are reflected accurately on an on going basis
- Third Party Risk Management, Governance and Oversight: Possess knowledge of CS operational risks and controls, HSBC Third Party Risk Management Policy and work with teams across the region to identify, remediate and record any risk and issues in line with HSBC policy
- Governance & Documentation: Support line manager in ensuring appropriate governance is developed and implemented with robust documentation and supporting management policies to manage CS Risk & Governance
- Project execution: Support with regional or country specific programs assigned by line manager
- Stakeholder Management: Working with a dynamic team across the region related all areas above is a key requirement of this role

**Customers / Stakeholders**
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Operational Management CS MENAT
- Develop and maintain a strong and professional working relationship with all internal and external parties
- Proactive sharing of material that can be used to educate and provide guidelines to the CS community in relation to quality assurance, governance and planning
- Collaborate with workstreams in country to deliver risk and control operations, communications, financial planning and reporting

Requirements

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Financial analytical background and proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning, including being able to contextualize financial data into business activities and conclusions.
- Strong awareness and understanding of internal controls and operational risk environment. Demonstrated results in risk management and implementing operational controls.

**Skills**
- High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously across the region
- Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with stakeholders
- Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to support problem analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group
- Proven abilities in working across cultures
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively at all levels across the organization
- Strong organizational, planning and management skills
- Strong business and commercial awareness
