We're on the lookout for a Payment Operations Specialist to join our dynamic Finance Operations team. In this role, you'll tackle daily reconciliation tasks with processors and schemes, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and manage essential financial transactions like bank transfers and potential treasury calculations.

Your work as a Senior Payment Operations Specialist will directly impact Weavr's success. By ensuring accuracy in financial records and swift issue resolution, you'll enhance operational efficiency and maintain stakeholder trust. This role also offers exciting growth opportunities, with a pathway to transition into a more specialised system-building role, where you'll contribute to our continuous improvement efforts and play a vital part in achieving strategic goals like obtaining and operating the Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Reconciliation Controller** : Manage daily reconciliations with processors and schemes. Your keen eye for detail ensures the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, while your quick thinking allows you to swiftly resolve any discrepancies that may arise, keeping our operations running smoothly.
- ** System and Compliance Facilitator**: Liaise with our diverse teams in Finance, Product, Engineering, and Compliance ensuring seamless coordination, enabling us to build new systems and tackle financial challenges with agility and precision.
- ** Financial Wizardry**: Orchestrate daily bank transfers and potentially dive into treasury calculations. With your meticulous attention to detail and unwavering focus, you navigate financial transactions with finesse, ensuring that every penny is accounted for and every process flows seamlessly.
- ** Safeguarding Mastery**: Become a guardian of our financial fortress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safeguarding our financial integrity.

**About You**
- **
Domain Expertise**: Experienced working within a Payment Operations or Finance Operations role within a Payments company or Fintech
- ** SQL Superstar**: Dive into the world of data with your exceptional SQL skills - you'll be able to master databases, run queries, and unlock the power of information.
- ** Regulated Expertise**: It would be highly beneficial to have experience in safeguarding, a crucial part of our journey to becoming a regulated Electronic Money Institute (EMI) in Malta and the UK
- ** Payment Operations Pro**: You'll be the detective of payment reconciliation, navigating complex transactional flows with finesse. Having a good understanding of Scheme Cost calculations and Chargeback processing would also be beneficial
- ** Product Innovator**: Collaborate closely with the product and engineering team to craft cutting-edge solutions that will redefine the industry.
- ** Problem-Solving Wiz**: We thrive on pushing boundaries in the embedded finance space, and you'll be the fearless problem solver who isn't afraid to explore new, groundbreaking ideas.
