**Introduction to role**:
Are you ready to lead the charge in shaping AstraZeneca Egypt's communication landscape? As a Communications Manager, you'll develop, implement, and manage integrated communication strategies across social media and public relations channels. Your mission is to enhance brand reputation, engage target audiences, and support business objectives while maintaining internal awareness of our business strategy and progress. Reporting to the Head of Communication, you'll be part of the corporate affairs team, driving initiatives that elevate our external reputation.

**Accountabilities**:
As the leader of External Communications, you'll craft and execute impactful strategies that align with AstraZeneca Egypt’s business objectives and global standards. You'll oversee key initiatives nationwide, drive Therapy Area communications, and collaborate with policy teams to amplify our policy and government affairs agenda. Your expertise will ensure corporate responsibility achievements are visible to stakeholders and featured in major reports.

You'll also spearhead a comprehensive social media strategy, creating compliant, scientifically accurate content in partnership with medical, legal, and regulatory teams. By showcasing our therapeutic milestones, patient advocacy, and corporate citizenship, you'll elevate AstraZeneca’s presence across digital channels—constantly monitoring performance data and refining campaigns for maximum impact.

In public relations, you'll build strong relationships with media professionals, manage press materials creation and distribution, and monitor public sentiment to support AstraZeneca’s reputation. Your proactive approach in crisis management and recovery plan development will safeguard and enhance our industry standing.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Advanced degree in communications, journalism, or a related field; certifications and relevant training will also be considered.
- Significant experience in external communications, social media management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing communications strategy.
- Proven track record of developing effective communication strategies and implementing integrated communication plans.
- Excellent project management and change management capabilities.
- Exceptional coordination, collaboration, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proficient in digital and social media methodologies.

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Experience in national and global communications.
- Familiarity with the global pharmaceutical market and a background in healthcare communications.
