Head of Production- Egypt

**Responsibilities**
- Lead all manufacturing and packaging Sterile and non-Sterile operations for products.
- Set the annual operations/production plans through meeting performance targets.
- Own & monitor Production KPIs, act proactively to manage drifting from targets.
- Set objectives to the production according to company goals & cascade them to direct reports, and design with the coordination people development plan in a timely manner.
- Lead the implementation of new technologies to improve quality, product cost and better customer service.
- Lead Improvement projects for enhancing productivity, reducing cost, and put strategy for Production.
- Develop and implement short, medium & long-term plans for production to meet the business and forecast targets.
- Manage all spending versus budget on resources allocated to labor, equipment, information technology facilities and production-related services, to meet financial targets.
- Lead and support requesting from the engineering department all types of maintenance of manufacturing facilities equipment to guarantee optimal manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure proper management of cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and waste handling activities in factory.
- Coordinate with Heads of Engineering & Finance to prepare and obtain approval for capital expenditure plans to ensure that future manufacturing needs are met within acceptable cost limits.
- Authorize and approve the production processes Standard Operating procedures, Master formulas, Bill of Materials and Batch Records and ensure that they are exactly fulfilled.
- Align with Quality Head and production managers to ensure full compliance to Quality Guidelines on operational level and at a strategic site level to ensure effective processes are in place / in use and ensure robust risk analysis / risk management has been completed to prevent and minimize potential problems.
- In coordination with quality Lead, authorize any change in Manufacturing & Packaging Procedures and coordinate with quality operations for investigation of deviations and corrective/preventive actions to be taken.
- With support of HR, Plan the required recruitment, authorizes the selection, manage training, and review and approve the performance assessment for factory personnel.
- Lead daily business activities & responsible for on-the-job technical training of all subordinates and their development.
- Take critical decisions for rescheduling production to overcome any problem and meet commercial demand.
- Select, evaluate & approve production supplies & equipment to ensure highest quality & performance.
- Foster a spirit of justice and integrity in the factory and act as a professional and moral role model for all the production staff while providing guidance and decisions related to code of conduct, grievance, and penalties to middle managers and stream heads.
- Foster the culture of Implement Right First-Time culture plus effective corrective/preventive action and achieving Excellence through Teamwork management, Continuous Improvement, lean, discipline, respecting ethics and Customer Focus.
- Review and authorize the leave planning and overtime.
- Revise monthly records of output, expenses and analyze variances against standard and monitor discrepancies with area owners & other involved departments.
- Lead and control self-inspection system through periodic GEMBAs and monthly audits.
- Set Routing, Yields targets, Material Usage for all products during annual budget setting.
- Review factory Purchase Requests to ensure ordering of right item with right quantities on time.
- Support security measures implementation in coordination with Human Recourses.
- Ensure effective implementation of Operation Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the streams, to keep Lean Operations, and minimize waste.
- Build and sustain robust data base system of all steams in factory.
- Ensure that all productions areas are in inspection ready state.
- Ensure that manufacturing / packaging of Sterile and non-sterile products meet agreed targets in accordance with WHO & EDA Guidelines, cGMP specifications & EHS regulations.
- Direct the Production Personnel, contribute to Sites Strategy and implement tactical goals for competitive advantage.
- Achieve annual Targets in accordance with specified requirements in cost efficient manner while promoting an environment of Continuous Improvement ensuring that high quality products are produced right first-time as per production schedule, and operations are conducted in a safe manner.
- Achieve new products introduction as planned supporting R&D and other departments to achieve their goals as well.
- Build culture of discipline respecting cGMP rules focusing on good documentation practices.
- Build one team for factory with common vision and Objectives.
