About the Role

CNN Business Arabic is recruiting a highly skilled SEO specialist who will take responsibility of ensuring our digital products are discoverable wherever we have a presence. Whether via search engines on web or being at the top of everyone’s social feed or favorite video channel.

The Primarily focus is web SEO - onsite and offsite - technical and editorial. Working with in-house developers to ensure on page SEO is best practice and Editors to ensure their work is reaching the top of search results. Most of all, s\he will drive growth and traffic to ensure CNNBA is outperforming it’s competitors and reaching commercial goals.

Key Accountabilities
- Develop optimization strategies that increase our visibility and search engine results rankings, as well as targeting audiences across the Arabic world.
- Research SEO keywords to use throughout the content we offer website and marketing materials.
- Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts.
- Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance.
- Efficiently communicate with other marketing professionals to align goals.
- Collaborate with others within the marketing department to manage SEO strategy.
- Write compelling and high-quality website content, including blog posts and page descriptions.
- Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings.

Qualifications & Experience
- Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
- A demonstrable grasp of technical SEO - from on-page schema to interlinking, properly formatted HTML tables, Google snippets, and Core Web Vitals
- Experience with SEO industry programs, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
- Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools (Ahrefs, SEO monitoring tools, etc.).
- Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable analysing high volumes of data on a daily basis.
- Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
