Sawari Ventures Investment Associate is responsible for assisting in the investment process, management and oversight of the portfolio, in addition to fund operations. This role entails researching technology sectors, speaking with founders of growing knowledge-economy companies, executing financial analysis, and helping structure and price transactions. A dynamic role for a passionate individual that is keen on entrepreneurship and new technologies.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Deal Sourcing & Screening
- Research and recommend various investment opportunities to the top management.
- Form hypotheses on investment opportunities based on both key facts and market intuition.
- Manage deal prospects from first conversation with Partner, through term sheet, analysis and creating the investment memos to deal close.

Portfolio Management
- Identifying any gaps in process or financial risks and providing recommendations for minimizing such risks.
- Provide recommendations based on both key facts and market intuition.
- Analyze portfolio company data and work with Partners to provide strategic recommendations.
- Follow up and assist with the fundraising process for the portfolio companies, and generating reports about prospect deals and negotiated terms.
- Build and maintain a database of shares distribution and movement within each of the startups companies.

Fund Operations
- Assist the back office team with fund reporting and compliance
- Assist in designing processes and procedures for the fund and management company.
- Continually monitor and investigate macro and micro industry trends to recommend new sectors of technology for evaluation and potential investment.

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity or investment banking.
- Minimum undergraduate degree with superior performance, CFA, MBA or Graduate Degree is a plus.
- Prior experience with deal sourcing, negotiation, and execution.
- Ability to review legal documents, and familiarity with VC terms and concepts.
- Excellent English & Arabic language skills, business proficiency in French language is a plus.
- Financial modeling and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of entrepreneurship and venture capital industry in Egypt.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent technical understanding for software packages like Microsoft Excel, etc..
- Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
