Overview / نظرة عامة:
Conducts quality control testing in various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring that the products’ quality and production’s operation are within specified parameters, e.g. heat and equipment calibration, providing support for the resolution of issues identified and contributing to the minimization of product wastage and increase of plant’s efficiency.

Responsibilities / المسؤوليات:

- Plans and, upon approval, implements specialised quality control activities and tests across plant’s manufacturing area, e.g. heat levels, raw material quality, product’s characteristic on specific manufacturing stages, ensuring that the operation’s activities meet the internal quality standards and are in compliance with the products’ specifications
- Works closely with the respective production manager for the successful monitoring and controlling of the quality parameters of his own area of responsibility, identifying areas for improvement, proposing improvements that support the equipment efficiency
- Liaises with senior manufacturing personnel and plant operators, communicating the quality testing results and proposes, whenever necessary, actions to be taken, e.g. calibration of equipment operation according to standards, thus assisting in the development of solutions on issues identified
- Ensures that all quality control test data are correctly recorded, as well as equipments are accurately calibrated in own area of responsibility and cooperates with all relevant parts, e.g. data administrator, for their precise communication of data, thus enhancing the flow of information and effectiveness of operations
- Implements Health, Environment and Safety plans and conducts regular follow-ups of the plant’s operations, in order to identify and report issues of consideration and support the alignment of the company with the local legislation and company’s standards
- Participates or leads ad-hoc projects that may go beyond his/hers formal accountabilities, so as to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs
- Ensures that all received materials are supported with its MSDS.
- Contributes in the department monthly HSE meeting.
- Contributes in regular workplace inspections and reporting procedures.
- Ensures that all HSE incidents are reported on the appropriate form immediately, and contributes in their investigations and guarantee the proper preventive actions are implemented and learning shared.

Qualifications / المؤهلات:

- BSc degree in chemical science or engineering
- At least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience
- Very good knowledge of the cement products’ characteristics
- Knowledge of quality control methods and instruments
- Exposure in process control statistical methods and experimental design
- Knowledge of control tools and instruments (operation logics, regulation methods and systems)
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Presentation and communication skills
- Advanced organisational skills
- Team work and cooperation
- PC literacy
- Excellent command of English
