Industrial Engineering Supervisor

**Aufgaben**:

- Objectives / Summary of Job:
- The role holder is responsible to develop and control production processes in the paint shop to attain expected paint quality as per Daimler AG specifications. 
- The role holder will have a dual role to undertake activities related to Logistics process engineering as well.
- The main responsibility is to perform the engineering information interface to assembler and various Daimler AG departments.
- Responsible for developing and training engineering staff in close cooperation with contract assembler.
- Driving continuous improvement and corrective / preventive actions monitoring.

Main tasks
- Project Management:
- Responsible to support the project planning activities, as a local PMO, and manage the realization of all local requirements and setup.
- Responsible to create a standard professional methodology for the projects’ management.
- Responsible for the establishment of the correct line documentation.
- Responsible to plan & follow up the Technical training activities (on-job training (OJT) & abroad).

Mercedes-Benz Production System:
- Responsible to introduce and implement any production related systems such as MPS & Lean systems for optimization of production processes.
- Responsible to carry out motion & time studies of all production processes.
- Responsible to ensure adherence to the MPS requirements and to enhance the implementation of its tools & methods.
- Responsible to ensure highest quality level at all work areas in the engineering department as well as to achieve related targets.

Plant KPIs, Processes and Systems:
- Responsible to develop systems and simplify processes for ensuring management and control through systems.
- Review current systems and identify gaps for system development.
- Coordinate with Daimler AG for systems requirements and parameters for control.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for various projects and provide a conduit for communication, coordination, and training for increased collaboration.

Continuous Improvement:
- Production CI Improvement Activities (all shops): To manage production relates cooperative procedure between MBMIE and contract assembler with special task out of routine production is required. These include waste reduction, ergonomic and equipment improvement, to increase the production capacity, production process improvement, line balancing, production data analysis and development of internal and external process workflow etc.
- Pre-Surveillance Audit Preparation (Pre-SU Audit): Prepare, control and follow up pre-audit before SU audit as a moderator

Production follow up:
- Supporting in verification of production plan / sequence.
- Follow up the actual production VS plan and highlighting gaps.
- Preparation of detailed breakdown lists, either for production or for sales purpose.
- Coordination at the assembly partner side to accelerate line feeding, quality inspection to secure the production line.

NCP related activities:
- Attending daily NCP meeting as engineering department representative.
- Repair orders management, in terms of repair possibility and lead-time.

Others:
- Creating / supporting presentations for meetings with HQ, town halls etc.)

**Qualifikationen**:

- Training and qualification:

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
- Technical knowledge:

- Experience in implementing Lean projects in line with Six Sigma certifications.
- Soft skills/individual competence:
- Project Management knowledge and practice (PMP certificate is preferred)
- Proven Business knowledge and Expertize
- Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and operationalize business strategies
- Knowledge of various Lean Management tools is a must.
- Excellent command of English language (German language would be a plus)
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong Leadership & interpersonal skills

**Experience**:

- Experience in automotive industry minimum 7-10 years.
