Product Owner

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Product Ownerfor one of our partners, a global leader in IT Services and Consulting.
**Role Summary**:
The Product Owner (PO) is key in Agile development, serving as the customer's voice and the link between business and the development team. Their main goal is to maximize product value. They do this by understanding user needs and market trends, then translating these into a prioritized product backlog. The PO constantly refines this backlog, ensuring the team always focuses on the most impactful features.
Their core duties involve setting the product vision, managing the backlog, defining requirements (like user stories), collaborating with stakeholders and the development team, and ensuring the product meets business goals. Ultimately, the PO is responsible for the product's success from start to finish.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and exceptional communication skills to drive the evolution of our internal IT products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Product Strategy & Roadmap:

- Define and articulate the vision and strategy for assigned IT products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap, outlining key features and initiatives for future development.
- Requirements Definition & Prioritization:

- Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements (e.g., user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria).
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment, ensuring continuous delivery of value.
- Collaborate with the development team during sprint planning to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and scope.
- Collaboration & Communication:

- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT development teams, and other relevant departments.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Clearly communicate product updates, progress, and potential roadblocks to all stakeholders.
- Product Lifecycle Management:

- Participate in all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and post-launch optimization.
- Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate on features to continuously improve user experience and business outcomes.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure developed solutions meet business requirements.
- Technical Acumen:

- Possess a strong understanding of our current IT systems and architecture, including their capabilities and limitations.
- Work with technical leads to understand technical complexities and dependencies.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within an IT department, preferably in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, concise technical specifications.
- Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana).
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certifications such as CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner).
- Experience with specific business domains or technologies relevant to our organization.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
