**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to translate website concepts into high-performing WordPress solutions.
- Develop custom themes, plugins, and functionalities to extend WordPress core functionalities and meet specific project requirements.
- Ensure website responsiveness and seamless user experience across various devices and browsers.
- Implement best practices for WordPress security, performance optimization, and code maintainability.
- Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex WordPress issues efficiently.
- Migrate existing websites to the WordPress platform when appropriate.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, plugins, and security updates.
- Document technical solutions and processes for future reference.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in WordPress development with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress core functionalities, themes, plugins, and customization options.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including frameworks like jQuery).
- Experience with working with child themes and creating custom post types and taxonomies.
- Understanding of website security best practices and experience with implementing security measures in WordPress.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques for WordPress websites.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for WordPress and a desire to create innovative and user-friendly websites.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 20 per week

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- WordPress development: 4 years (preferred)
- PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: 4 years (preferred)
