You will be working as a Legal Manager, and will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for BA Function Legal and Integrity Division based in, Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Regional General Counsel, IMEA will be responsible to implement regional and global corporate and business area strategy and advise management and business on legal and integrity issues relating to the relevant area(s) of responsibility to ensure full compliance with Group policies and instructions, as well as local legal regulations within Process Automation Business area in North Africa.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Provide legal advice and counsel to ABB stakeholders across a broad range of legal issues, assist with dispute and litigation matters as directed.
- Assist with negotiation and risk assessment of frame agreements, contracts, partnerships and other contractual terms in collaboration with the regional and country Legal & Integrity team and relevant business stakeholders.
- Anticipate and identify legal issues relative to the business and proactively develop effective legal strategies and practical solutions. Ensure good corporate governance in the areas of accountability, support implementation of the Code of Conduct and provide on-going integrity training and assistance in investigation and resolution of any integrity issues that may arise.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new corporate policies/ instructions based on local legislation and directives. Assist with the implementation of both local and corporate legal and integrity policies and instructions and monitor on-going integrity matters.
- Manage and liaise with external service providers, including external legal counsel, provide legal training and awareness for employees in the business.
- Generally, support the Process Automation business divisions and sites in North Africa, as well as other members of the Legal and Integrity Team, on a wide variety of Business Area-related legal matters, including supporting sales, commercial operations, project management, global supply chain, manufacturing and field operations.

**Your background**:

- University degree in law from a leading University. Further legal qualifications will be an added bonus.
- minimum 5 years experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) at an industrial company
- Substantial “hands-on” experience in drafting and negotiating both domestic and international commercial agreements (including, but not limited to, product sales contracts, distribution agreements, supply chain contracts, Joint Venture and consortium agreements) and complex transaction agreements.
- Demonstrable experience dealing with both common law and civil law issues.
- Earlier experience in similar industries including operational experience in ethics & compliance and governance - corporate matters.
- Extensive experience in contract negotiation / contract management / commercial matters.
- Experience in North Africa.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English, French & Arabic language is a must.
