JOB TITLE

Manager – Legal | Majid Al Futtaim Retail | Egypt Corporate Head Office

ROLE PURPOSE

Provide the Retail Discount organization with effective legal services, advice, and representation for all legal matters, either directly or with external counsel. Support the VP – Legal and deliver timely, consistent, and practical legal guidance to business and regulatory functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review contracts, agreements, and notifications to ensure compliance with internal standards and legal requirements.
  • Advise on business transactions, claims, litigation strategy, and legal rights/obligations.
  • Conduct legal research, interpret laws and regulations, and evaluate case outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategies and arguments for cases.
  • Review internal policies and procedures for legal correctness and provide guidance on drafting contracts/policies.
  • Support performance management, mentoring, and on-the-job training to develop a strong legal team.
  • Ensure internal legal processes are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Stay updated on regional legal developments and advise on their impact on business operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law.
  • Minimum 5 - 6 years of legal experience, including 2+ years in retail.
  • Excellent business communication, negotiation, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and team management capabilities.
