Al Azab Lawyers & Legal Consultants is seeking to appoint a
Law Firm General Manager
with a clear strategic and leadership vision, and a proven track record in managing and operating large-scale, prestigious law firms.
This role is designed for an ambitious leader who combines deep knowledge of the legal industry with a passion for business management, capable of steering teams toward ambitious strategic goals.
Overall Purpose:
To provide integrated leadership for the firm's administrative and legal technical operations, ensure the delivery of exceptional client service, drive sustainable growth and profitability, and uphold the firm's esteemed professional reputation.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
- Strategic Leadership & Management:- Develop and execute the firm's strategic and operational plans.
- Oversee the firm's budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control, ensuring the achievement of financial targets.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Human Capital Management & Development:- Lead, mentor, and develop a comprehensive team of lawyers, legal consultants, and administrative staff.
- Design and oversee professional development and training programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Manage talent acquisition to attract and retain top-tier legal professionals.
- Business Development & Client Relations:- Spearhead business development initiatives to build and expand the firm's client portfolio.
- Enhance the firm's market reputation and competitive positioning.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and forge new strategic partnerships.
- Legal Excellence & Quality Assurance:- Ensure the highest standards of technical and legal quality for all firm deliverables, including memoranda, contracts, and legal opinions.
- Provide senior-level oversight on major appellate and cassation cases.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications:
- A degree in Law (Master's degree or higher).
- Minimum 15 years
of proven experience in the legal profession. - Minimum 5-7 years
of proven experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., General Manager, Managing Partner, or equivalent) within a large or mid-sized law firm. - A clear strategic vision for law firm management and a deep understanding of its business models.
- Full professional proficiency in English
(spoken, written, and legal drafting at the highest level). - Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate teams and lead organizational change.
- Superior strategic legal analysis and complex problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills across all levels (clients, team members, external entities).
- Solid knowledge of operational systems and procedures within the Egyptian market.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with renowned international law firms operating in Egypt.
- Extensive experience in liaising with major government institutions, regulatory bodies, and large non-governmental organizations.
- An established and wide-ranging professional network.
- Experience in crisis management and handling highly sensitive legal matters.
