Ip & Security Solutions Architect (Vois)

**Role purpose**:
Responsible for the overall High/Low Level Design and working configuration for the network security capabilities that support reliable and secure hosted and collaborative services across the whole Vodafone business, mainly focused Data Center and Office network environments.
Assure the Integrity, Confidentiality and Availability of the NSE networks in Europe, supporting effective end-to-end view on security aspects of the mobile and fixed services as well as their configurations and designs. Set up relevant tools and reports to be used to assess the security posture and promotes the best of breed security practises across the Engineering functions.
Responsible to guarantee consistency and harmonisation across the local markets and being accountable for the effective design and evolution of the security network in Europe, promoting and delivering all the possible best practise processes & cost savings initiatives.

**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:

- Responsible for High Level and Low Level Design engineering and network design optimization
- Drive increased quality of our network end to end
- Provide HLDs, LLDs, define templates, modularize and industrialize configuration items and their implementation.
- Harmonize office network environments and services
- Harmonize office LAN services, enable seamless access over a converged wired/wireless network to global IT systems and provide guest services for external partner services as well as Third party connectivity
- Implement Virtualisation and segregation concepts
- Conduct proof of concept (POC) validation
- Responsible for optimal implementation process that delivers ensured quality.
- Decrease the design and implementation costs and to achieve a harmonized & simplified network infrastructure
- Participate in tender processes
- Supervision of external supporters and 3rd parties
- Quality assurance in the design and implementation process
- Support, Test & Accept / Audit the deployed solution
- Manage and control the different existing test environments
- Define necessary test catalogues and test plans
- Document test & QA activities
- Drive knowledge transfer and technical skill development within Network Implementation team
- Responsible to ensure a network documentation
- Support the state-of-the art network documentation for the implemented solution that is aligned with TSO architecture
- Ensure the quality of the documentation
- Responsible to ensure network harmonisation and standardization across the Region / the local market

- In-depth knowledge in the following areas:

- Strong experience in Python and GoLang, automation scripting, and automation frameworks
- Designed, developed, and executed System Test documents (Test Strategy, Test setup, Test Report), test case documents
- Expert Knowledge in networks (TCP/IP, Protocols, Structures, Hardware, Security)
- Expert Knowledge in the area of the installation and configuration of network components (Routers, Firewalls)
- Deep knowledge of IP networks security systems, with experience on the engineering and management of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, PKI, and content filtering platforms.
- Expert Knowledge in security (Encryption, Authentication, Authorization, Accounting, 802.1x, PKI, certificates)
- Knowledge in network management and network analysis

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- An academic degree and/or at least 3/5 years work experience in an IT organization supporting large heterogeneous IT infrastructures.
- Experiences in project management
- Result-oriented and enjoy taking initiative as well as responsibility
- Fluent English oral and written
- Understanding of operational environments and delivery projects
- Ability to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver results/change
- Familiarity with other engineering domains or teams involved in network security aspects such as OSS, IT and CSO departments
