**Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Record daily financial transactions and ensure accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping in the accounting system.
- Post and process journal entries in line with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Maintain and regularly update the finance database and supporting documentation, both electronically and in hard copy, ensuring proper filing and retrieval.
- Execute bank transfers through manual, online, and governmental payment systems, and follow up with banks to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle, including receiving, reviewing, verifying, posting, and reconciling supplier invoices, and preparing payment runs.
- Provide support in Accounts Receivable activities.
- Assist in reviewing and recording operating expenses, payroll-related entries, advances, and fixed asset transactions.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports and schedules (weekly/monthly) to support management reporting and audits.
- Support monthly and annual closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Ensure adherence to the organization’s financial policies and procedures and participate in improving and documenting accounting processes.
- Perform other related accounting duties and ad hoc financial tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably in accounts payable or general accounting within an NGO or corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; proficiency in Odoo is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of Egyptian tax laws and e-invoicing; exposure to UK tax regulations is considered an advantage.
