1.     BASIC FUNCTION: 

All infrastructure system management, monitoring and capacity planning.

Monitors performance and patch management to ensure agreed service levels of support are met.

Provides 3rd level technical support to associates in the Division and users to solve problems and answer queries.

2.  WORK PERFORMED & MAJOR DUTIES:

a)     Acts as Supervisor/3rd line support, answers queries and technical services for problem determination and resolution for infrastructure servers.

b)     Installs and maintains software requirements to ensure efficient production and test environments.  Provides operating instructions. Monitors performance of all systems including online & terminals to identify slow running systems and develops methods to improve performance.

c)     Tests, operates and documents various new systems.

d)     Assumes complete responsibility for the system component; manages problems and resolves them. This includes the major systems and databases.

e)     Diagnoses and rectifies servers' infrastructure if operating system or database or application related software is the cause of computer failure.

f)      Automates the Computer Operations daily & monthly procedure to its maximum.

g)     Tunes all the Systems software to yield maximum performance.

h)     Creates, modifies, and deletes environmental users, profiles and roles for operating systems and databases.

i)      Configures systems to enforce appropriate password policies and minimizes the chance for abuse and acts promptly to end abuses upon notifications.

j)      Monitors all servers' equipment logs for any server & security related issues.

k)     Follows the change control procedures for any changes to the systems and data bases.

l)      Participates in Disaster Recovery planning, monitoring, and running.

m)   Prepares the application servers daily run schedule. Checks all infrastructure and application servers' logs on a daily basis and notes any errors, takes appropriate action.

n)     Administers and manages the setup of all branches Servers and updates all Set-up manuals. Manages the implementation of all software versions, patches and other Utilities on the branches servers.

o)     Develops procedures for managing infrastructure and application servers.

p)     Develops and continuously updates the inventory of servers, hardware, and software systems.

a)     Performs backup & restores procedures and schedules for infrastructure servers according to bank policy.

b)     Monitors IT infrastructure servers to ensure that all service levels are being met for online availability and response time.

c)     Plans, implements and maintains virtual environment for test and production servers.

d)     Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

3. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION-EXPERIENCE-SKILLS):

a)     University graduate in scientific discipline or equivalent.

b years of experience in relevant work.

c)     Good Knowledge of various operating systems, Databases, networking and system tools such as Tape management system, System Center,etc.

d)     Good knowledge of English / Arabic languages.
