**Job Purpose:

The Internal Audit Director is responsible for developing and leading the internal audit function within the organization, ensuring effective governance, risk management, and internal control systems. This role focuses on providing strategic audit oversight tailored to the operational, financial, and compliance risks of the cement industry, with the goal of enhancing performance, transparency, and accountability across all busine

ss units.**Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership & Audit Planning**

  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive
    risk-based internal audit plan
    aligned with the company's strategic objectives and operational complexities.

  3. Advise senior management and the Audit Committee on risk exposure, control weaknesses, and governance improvements.
  4. Oversee the planning and execution of financial, operational, and compliance audits across all departments and plants.

2. Cement Industry-Specific Audits

  • Evaluate
    production efficiency
    ,
    material usage
    , and
    cost control mechanisms
    within cement manufacturing operations.
  • Audit
    inventory management
    , including raw materials, clinker, and finished product stock accuracy.
  • Review
    maintenance processes
    ,
    energy consumption
    , and
    procurement
    to ensure cost optimization and fraud prevention.
  • Assess internal controls related to
    sales and distribution channels
    , particularly pricing controls and logistics costs.

3. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify key risks in production, environment, safety, and financial reporting areas specific to cement operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with
    Egyptian laws
    ,
    environmental regulations
    , and
    corporate governance standards
    .
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, accounting standards (IFRS, Egyptian GAAP), and anti-fraud frameworks.

4. Reporting & Communication

  • Present clear and actionable audit reports and recommendations to senior management and the Board Audit Committee.
  • Track and report the implementation status of corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

5. Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the internal audit team to build a high-performing and independent function.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. (Master's degree preferred.)
  • Minimum
    12–15 years of progressive experience
    in internal auditing, with at least
    5 years in a leadership role
    , preferably within
    the cement or heavy manufacturing industry
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    cement manufacturing processes
    ,
    costing systems
    , and
    plant operations controls
    .
  • In-depth knowledge of
    risk-based auditing
    ,
    internal control frameworks (COSO)

    IFRS/Egyptian GAAP
    .
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High level of integrity, objectivity, and professional judgment.
  • Fluent in
    English and Arabic
