Position: DevOps Engineer

Location: El Sheikh Zayed - Giza

bout the Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to own our infrastructure, streamline deployments, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all production systems.

You will work across servers, applications, and dashboards—building efficient pipelines, monitoring system health, and proactively preventing issues before they impact users.

This role acts as the primary bridge between development, operations, and management, ensuring smooth delivery cycles and high system uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Infrastructure & Server Operations

* Provision, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu/Debian) from the ground up.

* Manage core services such as *Nginx, Apache, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis*.

* Build and maintain *CI/CD pipelines* using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

* Implement observability using *Netdata, Grafana, Prometheus*, and log aggregation tools.

* Enforce server security best practices:

* Firewall configuration (UFW, Fail2Ban)

* SSH hardening

* SSL/TLS lifecycle management

* Manage automated backups and validate *disaster recovery* processes.

* Optimize infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.

  1. Deployment & Application Operations

* Oversee the runtime health of all internal dashboards, admin panels, and APIs.

* Monitor uptime, errors, and application-level performance daily.

* Triage incoming issues and convert them into actionable, structured tickets.

* Work closely with developers to support deployments, releases, and hotfixes.

* Maintain clear documentation for configurations, deployment processes, and system flows.

* Produce operational reports outlining recurring issues and opportunities for optimization.

* Ensure seamless coordination between Development, QA, and Support teams.

Core Requirements

Technical Skills

* Strong Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, Debian).

* Hands-on experience with *Nginx, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, Git, Docker*.

* Understanding of backend architectures (APIs, DB schemas, caching layers, load balancing).

* Solid grasp of CI/CD workflows and Git branching strategies.

* Familiarity with project/ticketing tools (Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Asana).

* Basic knowledge of security, access control, and compliance fundamentals.

* Excellent debugging, monitoring, and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field.

* 3–5 years experience in *DevOps, System Administration, or Infrastructure Engineering*.

* Strong English communication (written and verbal).

* Highly structured, detail-driven, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
