Role Summary

We're looking for a driven HR Specialist with around 3 years of practical HR experience to support our HR functions across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration and policy implementation. You'll work closely with the HR Manager to ensure smooth HR operations and contribute to building a positive and high-performance culture at

Key Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruitment: drafting job ads, screening CVs, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, and conducting reference checks.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires: prepare welcome materials, ensure everything is ready (contracts, access, systems, induction).
  • Maintain accurate employee records: new hire information, changes in employment status, promotions, terminations; using HRIS (or equivalent) and spreadsheets.

  • Assist with performance review logistics: schedule review cycles, prepare documentation, and follow up with managers and employees.
  • Be the HR point of contact for employees: answering queries on policies, benefits, leave, and employment terms; escalating issues as needed.
  • Support implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee-handbook updates; ensure compliance with labour regulations and internal standards.

  • Contribute to learning & development initiatives: coordinate training sessions, maintain training records, assist with rollout of development programmes.
  • Provide regular HR reporting: recruitment metrics, headcount changes, turnover, absenteeism; present basic dashboards to HR Manager.
  • Assist with benefits administration: liaise with service providers, process enrollments/changes, support employees with benefits queries.
  • Promote and contribute to a positive workplace culture: help with employee engagement activities, support initiatives that enhance team morale and retention.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Betterteam

  • Approximately 2-4 years of HR experience (ideally 3 years) in a similar role—HR generalist or specialist in recruiting & HR operations.
  • Sound understanding of full recruitment cycle, onboarding, employee relations, records management.

  • Familiarity with HR systems or HRIS, Excel/spreadsheets and HR analytics.
  • Good knowledge of Egyptian labour laws and HR compliance.
  • Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced e-commerce/startup environment.
  • Proactive mindset, team-oriented, and aligned with the values of fast growth, service excellence, and customer-centric culture.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Some exposure to a digitally-led e-commerce or retail company.
  • Experience with performance management tools or learning & development programmes.
  • Knowledge of Arabic & English (both business-level).
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI) or similar training.
