We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated
Supervisor Customs Clearance Specialist
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in customs operations, specifically within the
Electrical Appliances
sector in Egypt.

About the Role

The Senior Customs Clearance Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of import and export customs procedures, ensuring full compliance with Egyptian regulations and facilitating the smooth and timely flow of our international shipments of electrical appliances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customs Operations Management:
    Oversee and manage the end-to-end customs clearance process for all import and export shipments of electrical appliances.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure strict adherence to all local customs laws, tariffs, and international trade agreements.
  • Factory Registration (Decision 43):
    Expertly handle the registration of factories
    in compliance with
    Ministerial Decree No. 43
    (or its updates) to ensure smooth import operations.
  • NAFEZA Platform Expertise:
    Manage all customs procedures and registration requirements effectively on the
    NAFEZA (National Single Window)
    platform, including the
    ACID system
    .
  • Documentation & Coordination:
    Prepare, check, and submit all required customs documentation (B/L, invoices, certificates, permits, etc.) and coordinate closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
  • Global Trade Knowledge:
    Deep understanding and practical knowledge of
    import and export procedures for all countries
    , ensuring seamless global transactions.
  • Cost & Time Optimization:
    Monitor clearance processes to minimize costs (demurrage, detention) and reduce clearance cycle time.
  • Problem Resolution:
    Act as the main point of contact for customs-related issues, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of any clearance delays or complications.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 to 8 years
    of direct experience in Customs Clearance and International Trade.
  • Industry Focus:
    Mandatory prior experience
    working with
    Electrical Appliances
    or a closely related sector (Electronics, Home Goods).
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Comprehensive knowledge of Egyptian Customs Law, trade compliance regulations, and tariff classification (HTS).
  • NAFEZA/ACID:
    Demonstrable experience with the NAFEZA platform and ACID system is essential.
  • Decision 43:
    Proven experience in registering factories and products
    under Ministerial Decree No. 43 is a must.
  • Global Scope:
    Proficient in international import/export requirements for various countries.
  • Skills:
    Excellent communication (written and verbal), strong negotiation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Language:
    Fluency in both
    English and Arabic
    is required.
