Location: Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt

Job Summary:

The General Accountant (General construction) will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial operations related to contracting projects. This includes cost control, project accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general contracting and a strong understanding of project-based accounting.

Responsibilities:

-Record and monitor all financial transactions related to contracting projects.

-Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

-Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities.

-Reconcile bank accounts and project accounts on a regular basis.

-Prepare project

cost reports and ensure expenses are allocated accurately.

-Review contracts and ensure financial compliance with company policies.

-Support audits by preparing required documentation and reports.

-Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for ongoing projects.

-Coordinate with the project management and procurement teams on financial matters.

-Ensure timely submission of tax declarations and compliance with Egyptian accounting laws.

Requir
ements:

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

-From 2 to 4 years of experience in general contracting or construction accounting.

-Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and tax laws.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems).

-Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

-High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
