Job Summary

The Operations Area Manager is responsible for the overall profit, loss, and operational consistency of a cluster of 5asec branches. The primary goal is to ensure every branch delivers the specific 5asec brand promise: standard quality, speed, and premium customer service, while maximizing revenue and minimizing operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

·      Conduct daily rotating visits to assigned branches to audit workflows, cleanliness, and staff presentation.

·      Ensure strict adherence to 5asec's technical franchise standards (washing processes, chemical usage, and finishing quality).

·      Oversee equipment maintenance schedules to prevent downtime of critical machinery (dry cleaning units, ironing tables, conveyors).

·      Manage logistics and stock control of consumables (hangers, packaging, chemicals) to ensure zero stock-outs.

·      Analyze P&L (Profit and Loss) reports for each branch; identify trends and implement action plans to increase profitability.

·      Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) daily: Sales vs. Target, Average Basket Size, Customer Retention Rate, and Labor Cost percentage.

·      Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and cash discrepancies.

·      Recruit, train, and coach Store Managers and counter staff.

·      Manage staff scheduling to optimize labor costs during peak and off-peak seasons (e.g., handling surges before Eid or winter coat season).

·      Conduct performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions in accordance with Egyptian labor law.

·      Act as the final point of escalation for complex customer complaints (e.g., damaged luxury items).

To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess the following:

·      Deep understanding of multi-unit retail management and shop-floor logistics.

·      Familiarity with fabric types, cleaning symbols, and garment care (training provided, but foundational knowledge is preferred).

·      Ability to read and interpret P&L statements and inventory reports.

·      Proficiency in Excel to analyze sales trends and roster efficiency.

·      High emotional intelligence to de-escalate angry customers and resolve staff disputes.

·      Ability to prioritize visits based on branch needs rather than a fixed routine.

·      Abilities (Capacity to perform)

·      Ability to drive across Greater Cairo daily, managing traffic and travel time effectively.

·      A "hawk-eye" for quality—noticing a small stain on a shirt or a burnt-out lightbulb immediately.

·      Treats the assigned area as their own business; takes personal responsibility for results.

·      Understands that 5asec is a luxury service, not a commodity laundromat.

Job Specifications

1.    Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.

2.    Experience Minimum 3-5 years of operations experience, (Retail, F&B, or Hospitality).

3.    Technical Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with POS/ERP systems.

4.    Requirements Must own a reliable car and possess a valid driver's license.

5.    Availability Flexible schedule (must be available during weekends and holidays on a rotation basis).
