Senior Presales Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Presales Engineer to work in the technical and solution design aspects of complex bids and opportunities. The role focuses on translating business requirements into feasible, scalable, and value-driven technology solutions, supporting sales teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle from qualification and discovery to solution design, estimation, and proposal submission.
Key Responsibilities
Presales & Solution Design
- Work in technical discovery and requirement clarification sessions with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, identifying key technical, functional, and commercial requirements.
- Collaborate with technical team in end-to-end solution architectures aligned with customer needs, constraints, and industry best practices.
- Define solution scope, assumptions, dependencies, and risks.
- Prepare and review technical proposals, solution narratives, architecture diagrams, and compliance matrices.
- Contribute to effort estimation, delivery approach, and high-level implementation plans.
- Support pricing models, BOMs, and sizing exercises in collaboration with delivery and finance teams.
- Ensure technical consistency across proposal sections.
- Act as the technical interface between sales, delivery teams, partners, and customers.
- Deliver solution presentations, demos, and technical walkthroughs to customer technical and business audiences.
- Support proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot initiatives when required.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, UX teams, and developers to validate solution feasibility.
- Stay up to date with technology trends, platforms, and industry standards relevant to the company's portfolio.
- Support product positioning and competitive analysis when needed.
- Experience with enterprise platforms (portals, integration middleware, workflow/BPM, data platforms, or cloud services).
- Exposure to on-premises, cloud, and hybrid architectures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in presales, solution engineering, or technical consulting roles.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile and Waterfall).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
