HUCON is looking for a driven
Mechanical Technical Office Engineer
to join our team on
Il Monte Galala Project with Tatweer Misr in El Ain El Sokhna
. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional eager to take ownership of mechanical shop drawings, approvals, and
building + infrastructure (infra) works
, ensuring buildability, quality, and progress in line with project requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing mechanical shop drawings (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) from IFC/design drawings—layouts, sections, details, coordination plans.
  • Preparing calculation sheets (duct/pipe sizing, pump head, ESP), equipment schedules, and BOQ quantity take-offs.
  • Coordinating
    infra packages
    : external networks (potable water, firefighting ring main, irrigation, chilled/condensate where applicable, stormwater, foul sewer), pump rooms/stations, chambers, manholes, valve boxes, and utility corridors.
  • Coordinating builder's work, openings/sleeves, supports/hangers, and equipment clearances with Architectural, Structural, and Electrical trades.
  • Running coordination/clash checks (2D/3D), issuing RFIs for missing/ambiguous info, and tracking responses to closure.
  • Managing submittals/transmittals, revision control, and approval logs; aligning with project specs and codes.
  • Supporting site with timely detail sketches, installation clarifications, redlines, and as-built updates.
  • Providing accurate quantities and revision impacts to planning and cost control.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years
    of experience in Mechanical Technical Office roles on building projects; exposure to
    infrastructure networks
    is a strong plus.
  • Strong command of
    AutoCAD (MEP)
    ;
    Revit MEP
    /Navisworks is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems, equipment selection, and constructability (indoor + external works).
  • Familiarity with RFIs, material/submittal workflows, and document control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for quantities and logs; strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Clear communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
