Job Description:

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role ensures cost efficiency, accuracy in estimates, and compliance with project specifications from the initial design stage through to project completion. The candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain budget control and financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis for project work and evaluate potential risks.
  • Review and validate contractor quotations, variations, and progress payments.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow to ensure cost control.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost optimization processes.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and ensure compliance with financial and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and procurement teams to maintain project alignment.
  • Review and finalize as-built documentation and close-out reports.

Requirements
:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost control in construction projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and cost estimation software.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, contract administration, and tendering procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
