Role Description

The Architecture Manager – Technical Office will oversee and manage technical office operations, focusing on translating architectural ideas into actionable plans and ensuring efficient project execution. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing technical drawings, managing project budgets, and coordinating with the project management team to execute development plans. The role also involves conducting research and providing support for mechanical engineering-related tasks. This is a full-time, on-site position located in New Cairo,.

Key Responsibilities


• Manage the architectural technical office team and assign daily tasks/workloads.


• Review and approve architectural shop drawings, coordination drawings, and detail sections.


• Lead technical coordination between architecture, structural, MEP, ID & site teams.


• Ensure drawings comply with codes, specifications, project requirements & QA/QC standards.


• Conduct clash analysis, resolve design conflicts, and propose practical construction solutions.


• Prepare material submittals, RFIs, technical documentation and design clarification notes.


• Review BOQs, tender packages, specifications, and ensure alignment with IFC drawings.


• Monitor progress of drawing submittals and ensure timely issuance to site.


• Work closely with procurement to review and verify architectural materials and finishes.


• Support site teams by providing technical solutions, details, and revisions as required.


• Maintain drawing log systems, revision tracking, databanks and as-built documentation.


• Participate in technical meetings with consultants, client representatives, and contractors.


• Contribute to value engineering, cost optimization, and buildability enhancements.

Qualifications & Requirements


• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (Master's is a plus).


• 8–12 years proven experience in architectural technical office operations.


• Strong background in shop drawings, coordination and design detailing.


• Experience in residential, commercial and large-scale mixed-use projects.


• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, MS Office.


• Knowledge of construction methodologies, finishing materials and codes.


• Excellent communication, leadership and cross-discipline coordination skills.


• Ability to manage high workload, multiple projects and strict deadlines with accuracy.


• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
