Job Description — Operations Manager (Beauty E-commerce)

Warehouse Lead, Fulfillment Associates, Inventory Planner, CX Lead

Role Summary

Own the end-to-end operation from
purchase order to delivery and returns
. You'll run fulfillment, inventory, marketplace ops, 3PLs/couriers, and CX enablement—driving
speed, accuracy, and margin
for a fast-moving beauty catalog (skincare, haircare, color cosmetics, bundles/GWPs).

Core Responsibilities

1) Order Fulfillment & Logistics

  • Hit
    same-day/next-day
    SLA for Cairo/Giza; 48–72h for up-country.
  • Manage 3PLs (Aramex,
    Bosta
    , Mylerz, ShipBlu, iMile): rates,
    NDR/RTO
    playbooks, reverse logistics.
  • Create leak-proof, shade-safe, temperature-aware
    packaging SOPs
    for beauty SKUs.
  • Monitor OTD, 1st-attempt success, NDR reasons; run weekly RCA and CAPA.

2) Inventory, Planning & Merch Ops

  • Run
    12–16-week demand plan
    (ABC + safety stock by channel).
  • Own POs, inbound ASNs, GRN,
    batch/expiry (FEFO)
    , and cycle counts.
  • Build
    bundles/sets/GWPs
    ; govern shade substitutions & preorders.

3) Marketplace & Channel Ops

  • Operate

    : listings compliance, ASNs, promo execution, scorecards, and penalty prevention.
  • Ensure PDP data quality: INCI, claims, pack shots, shade charts, MSDS where relevant.

4) Customer Experience Enablement

  • With CX, automate
    WISMO
    , unified returns, COD issue handling; reduce contact rate via proactive comms & inserts.
  • Track
    CSAT/NPS
    and reasons for contact; close the loop with Ops fixes.

5) Quality & Compliance

  • Implement
    QA sampling
    (leaks/breakage, mis-shade, tamper), lot tracing, and incident CAPA.
  • Ensure cosmetics labeling compliance (Arabic/English), INCI, expiry.

6) Cost & Controls

  • Own ops P&L levers: courier
    cost/order
    , packaging COGS, shrink, RTO loss.
  • Reconcile courier invoices, COD remits, and marketplace fees monthly.

7) Tooling & Analytics

  • Stack:
    Shopify
    (or Woo), WMS/ERP (Odoo/Zoho/SAP B1), courier dashboards, Zendesk/Freshdesk, Sheets/Looker/Datastudio.
  • Build live dashboards for
    orders, SLA, RTO, stock health, promo sell-through
    .

Requirements

  • 5–8 years
    in e-commerce operations/supply chain;
    beauty
    experience preferred.
  • Hands-on with
    Shopify
    , marketplaces ), WMS/ERP, courier portals, and ticketing.
  • Strong Excel/Sheets (pivots, PQ/PowerPivot), reporting, and vendor negotiation.
