Role Description

To be responsible for the planning, execution, and control of all production activities within the entire interior design, kitchen manufacturing, and installation value-chain, i.e., from technical drawings through manufacturing and installation, and to final handover to client.

This includes overseeing the production process, ensuring quality standards are met, managing production schedules, leading and motivating the production team, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production Planning and Scheduling:

·     Prepare and implement monthly production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and company goals.

·     Monitor production processes, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.

·     Ensure efficient utilization of resources (materials, equipment, and personnel).

·     Oversee the production process, including technical drawing, material preparation, machining, assembly, and installation and handover to client.

·     Coordinate with the design and installation teams to ensure seamless workflow.

Quality Control and Assurance:

·     Implement and maintain quality control measures, processes and procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.

·     Investigate and resolve production issues promptly and effectively.

·     Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations.

·     Oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.

Inventory Management and Control:

·     Manage inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize waste.

·     Implement and maintain inventory control processes and procedures.

·     Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability.

Cost Management and Improvement:

·     Monitor production costs and identify areas for cost reduction and improvement.

·     Implement and maintain efficient production workflows, processes and reduce waste

·     Collaborate with other departments to implement process improvements and enhance efficiency.

·     Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

System Design and Process Improvement

·     Analyze and map out production processes to identify areas for improvement

·     Design and implement efficient workflows to minimize waste, reduce lead times and improve productivity

·     Create and maintain SOPs for production processes, and ensure consistency and quality.

·     Ensure production team understands and follow SOPs, and provide training as needed.

Team Leadership and Management:

·     Lead, and motivate the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

·     Establish KPIs for production team, evaluate performance and provide feedback to staff.

·     Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency within the production team.

Communication and Collaboration:

·     Maintain effective communication with other departments, including sales, engineering, and installation teams.

·     Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

·     Represent the production/factory department at meetings and project reviews.

Safety and Compliance:

·     Ensure that the production facility is a safe and healthy work environment for all staff

·     Comply with all relevant safety regulations, laws, and company policies.

·     Prepare monthly reports for senior management on overall production /factory performance.

·     Any other tasks as may be assigned from time-to-time

Qualifications

·     Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., woodworking, manufacturing, engineering).

• 4-6 years of experience in production management, preferably in the kitchen design, manufacturing, and installation industry.

Skills and Competences Required:

·     Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control procedures, and safety regulations.

·     Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

·     Proficiency in relevant software and systems (e.g., ERP, production planning software).

·     Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

·     Familiarity with kitchen cabinet manufacturing, outsourcing, and installation processes.

·     Ability to read and understand technical drawings is a
MUST

·     Computer literacy with skills in excel, SketchUp, 3D or AutoCad.
