For a Hospitality project, we are looking for a well-organized site engineer with strong leadership skills to join our growing team. The site engineer's responsibilities include managing different parts of Finishing and Fit out projects, supervising crew members, preparing and monitoring estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, and compiling reports for different stakeholders. You should be able to work alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines.

To be successful as a site engineer, you should demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills. Outstanding candidates should display a superb work ethic and thrive under pressure.

A. Key Responsibilities

-Site Management & Logistics:

  • Oversee the
    daily operations and management
    of the site, ensuring architectural finishing and fit-out works comply with approved design drawings and specifications.
  • Manage and track the site
    material warehouse/inventory
    , minimizing waste.
  • Coordinate the
    requisition and delivery
    of materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and project timelines.

Quality Assurance (QA/QC):

  • Conduct continuous
    quality checks and inspections
    on all work performed by subcontractors, ensuring adherence to specifications and engineering codes.
  • Identify, report, and resolve
    quality defects
    immediately.

Project Coordination & Reporting:

  • Liaise with the
    Owner/Developer's Engineer or Consultant
    to update them on progress and resolve site-specific issues.
  • Prepare and submit
    daily/weekly site progress reports
    , including photographic evidence, to the Technical Office and management.
  • Prepare and submit
    RFIs
    to the Technical Office for design clarifications.

Subcontractor Management:

  • Supervise, monitor, and manage
    the site labor force and the work of all subcontractors, ensuring productivity and compliance with the schedule.
  • Certify subcontractor work completion and material usage for accurate
    progress billing/payment applications
    to the Project Administrator.

B. Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in
    Architectural Engineering.
  • Experience:
    Minimum
    5-6 years
    of hands-on experience in
    site supervision and management
    specifically within
    Finishing and Interior Fit-Out
    projects. Exposure to high-end projects (hotels, commercial) is a MUST.
  • Logistics Requirement:
    Car ownership is strongly preferred
    for reliable site travel and efficient movement between accomodation location and the project site.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in
    AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel),
    and experience with project management methodologies/tools.
