The Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Site Supervision Engineer to act as the primary on-site representative of our firm. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical works executed by the contractor strictly adhere to the approved designs, project specifications, and the specific regulatory requirements of the New Administrative Capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all on-site electrical engineering matters, representing the consulting firm and the client.
  • Provide rigorous daily supervision of the contractor's electrical installations, including HV/LV distribution systems, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and all ELV systems (BMS, Security, Fire Alarm, Data Networks).
  • Inspect and monitor all electrical work to ensure full compliance with the approved drawings, specifications, and the specific codes and authority requirements of the New Administrative Capital.
  • Review and approve all contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Report directly to the Project Manager on progress, quality issues, and any deviations from the design, providing detailed daily and weekly reports.
  • Identify and document non-conforming work and issue formal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), following up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Witness and validate all electrical tests, commissioning activities, and handover procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead technical meetings with the contractor and client representatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience, with a significant portion in a supervision or site engineering role within a consulting engineering firm.
  • Proven and verifiable experience working on projects within the New Administrative Capital is essential. Must have an in-depth understanding of NAC's electrical authority submission processes, inspection protocols, and utility connection procedures.
  • Extensive technical expertise in supervising the installation and testing of complex electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and approving electrical shop drawings, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, NEC, BS) and the ability to enforce them on-site.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assert authority professionally.
