Job description

  • Identify and assess new suppliers and manufacturers locally and internationally.
  • Manage the sampling process: request samples, follow up on changes, and ensure they meet product standards.
  • Coordinate closely with the Product and Design teams on specifications, materials, and timelines.
  • Track development timelines and resolve issues quickly to avoid production delays.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure order accuracy and compliance with terms.
  • Negotiate costs, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of suppliers, contracts, and order history.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Liaise between suppliers and internal departments to streamline operations.
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries.
  • Assist with quality control processes and coordinate return or replacement for defective goods.
  • Analyze procurement data and assist in budgeting and cost optimization efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing and purchasing (preferably in retail or product-based industries).
  • Familiarity with product development processes.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
