Role Description

New City Developments is seeking a Commercial Senior Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. Responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of projects, including invoicing, contract administration, budgeting, cost control, and tendering.

The role requires close coordination with project teams, finance, and procurement to ensure the financial and contractual integrity of each project.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and revise all project-related invoices in line with contract terms and progress milestones and review all supported documents
  • Prepare, evaluate variations and change orders and validate all supporting documents for V.O approval, to ensure all approved variations are reflected in invoices.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts for contractors and consultants and ensure that compliance with all company policies and legal regulations and monitor the contract execution.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual cost budgets and assist in forecasting project expenditures and financial planning.
  • Prepare and Coordinate tendering processes when required and support in evaluating bids and selecting contractors or consultants.
  • Prepare and issue work orders for contractors and consultants for any urgent scope that need to be executed and track the approval and all supported documents to release the payments.
  • Coordinate and follow up with the Finance Department to
    track all payments
    related to contractors, and consultants and confirm that each vendor has officially received their payment or check.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Previous experience in the real estate or construction industry is an advantage
  • Very good command in English
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
