Meniga is seeking a highly accomplished Commercial Head to build and lead its MENA business hub, based in Cairo, Egypt. Meniga currently serves 7 banking customers across the MENA region, including KSA, Kuwait, and Egypt, and has an active and growing pipeline across the wider GCC.
This is a foundational, entrepreneurial leadership role. The successful candidate will effectively act as Employee #1 in Egypt for a scaling fintech, with full ownership of establishing, growing, and leading Meniga's local presence. Egypt is a strategic regional hub with the potential to evolve into a broader GCC center, encompassing not only commercial leadership but also development, technology, and additional support functions over time.
Initially a hands-on role, it will transform into a full General Manager mandate, with a responsibility for building and overseeing a local organization expected to grow beyond 10 FTEs, including commercial, operational, and support roles. The role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and acts as the senior commercial and operational leader for the region.
Please note: Employment for this position is managed via an Employer of Record (EoR).
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial & Revenue Leadership (Hunting + Farming)
- Own and deliver MENA-level revenue targets, pipeline growth, and commercial execution
- Drive new logo acquisition across Egypt and GCC markets, with a strong focus on Tier-1 banks
- Expand and deepen existing Meniga customer relationships through upsell, cross-sell, and long-term partnership development
- Lead complex, enterprise SaaS sales cycles, from early engagement through negotiation and closure
- Oversee RFPs, proposals, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations
Client & Market Leadership
- Build trusted C-suite and senior executive relationships across banking and financial services
- Deliver executive-level presentations and product demonstrations
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients on digital banking, engagement, and data-driven financial wellness
- Monitor market dynamics, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape across MENA and GCC
General Management & Hub Leadership
- Establish and scale Meniga's Egypt-based MENA hub from the ground up
- Act as General Manager and senior country leader, representing Meniga with clients, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders
- Build and execute a regional go-to-market and operating model aligned with Meniga's long-term MENA and GCC ambitions
- Hire, develop, and lead a growing local team, expected to scale to 10+ FTEs over time
- Support the expansion of the hub into technology, development, and other support functions
- Ensure strong coordination with global teams (Product, Engineering, Delivery, Marketing, Legal, Finance)
- Uphold governance, compliance, and operational excellence across the region
Leadership & Reporting
- Act as an entrepreneurial leader and culture carrier, embedding Meniga values locally
- Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and commercial insights to the CRO and executive leadership
- Contribute to regional planning, investment decisions, and expansion strategy
Requirements:
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, commercial leadership, or general management
- 7+ years of experience selling complex, technical solutions to large banks and financial services institutions
- Proven success selling to Tier-1 banks in Egypt and GCC markets
- Demonstrated experience owning both new business acquisition (hunting) and account expansion (farming)
- Track record of managing long, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Experience operating at country or regional revenue ownership level
- Prior experience in a high-growth, scale-up, or entrepreneurial environment is strongly preferred

Education, Languages & Mobility
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field; an engineering or technical academic background is a strong advantage
- Fluent English and native Arabic (mandatory)
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across MENA and GCC markets to meet customers and partners
