Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria for a Senior Trucking Operations position. The professional in this role will oversee trucking operations, manage driver schedules and compliance with regulatory standards, ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods, and coordinate loading, unloading, and delivery processes. The individual will also monitor vehicle maintenance, handle operational issues, and collaborate with team members to exceed performance targets.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industry safety standards, and vehicle compliance requirements.
  • Experience in unloading and loading goods, along with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and familiarity with fleet management processes.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, optimize routes, and supervise transportation teams effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in logistics or trucking operations is highly preferred.
  • Support scheduling and dispatching of trucks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and client requirements.
  • Work closely with other departments (Sales, Logistics, CRM, Finance) to support operational needs.

Contact new vendors to negotiate and secure competitive pricing.

Maintain a vendor database and update price lists regularly.
