Role Purpose

The HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Human Resources functions, ensuring effective workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The role will support the organization's growth in the contracting and construction sector by developing strong HR processes and acting as a trusted partner to management and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations including attendance, leaves, medical insurance, and personnel files.
  • Ensure compliance with Egyptian Labor Law and Social Insurance regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, contracts, and documentation.

2. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

  • Work closely with management to understand manpower needs for projects and head office.
  • Coordinate and support recruitment efforts for technical, engineering, and site-based roles.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation processes for new employees.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the main HR point of contact for employees and resolve workplace issues professionally.
  • Develop employee engagement initiatives to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies and labor regulations.

4. Performance Management

  • Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems.
  • Support department heads in setting KPIs and evaluating employee performance.
  • Identify training needs and recommend development programs.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Support salary reviews, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure fairness and consistency in compensation structures.

6. HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to align with business needs and legal requirements.
  • Ensure site HR practices comply with company standards and safety requirements.

7. Construction/Contracting HR Support

  • Provide HR support to project sites including mobilization, demobilization, and workforce planning.
  • Manage site-based HR challenges such as rotations, accommodations, and field staff relations.
  • Coordinate with project managers to support HR needs throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of HR experience
    , preferably within
    contracting or construction companies
    .
  • Strong understanding of site-based HR operations and project manpower management.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian Labor Law & Social Insurance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Proficiency in MS Office; HR systems experience is an advantage
