Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing team.

The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth within the construction, industrial, and commercial sectors for our custom-manufactured metal products, including metal doors, sheet metal components, and specialized metal boxes.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, specifically within the manufacturing or related B2B industrial/construction supply industries.

Key Responsibilities:



New Business Generation:
Identify, and secure new business opportunities by targeting commercial builders, general contractors, architects, industrial manufacturers, and government agencies.



Strategic Relationship Management
: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for new accounts.



Market Analysis & Strategy:
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and new markets/applications for our metal fabrication capabilities (doors, sheet metal, boxes).



Product Knowledge:
Clearly articulate the value and technical specifications of our manufacturing capabilities, focusing on custom solutions and quality (e.g., material types, gauge, finishes, certifications).



Performance Reporting:
Track and report on sales activities, market trends, and pipeline status using CRM software.

Qualifications and Skills Required:


•Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of proven business development or outside sales experience in a B2B industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment. Experience selling custom-fabricated metal products (doors, architectural metals, HVAC components, enclosures, etc.) is highly preferred.


•Education:
bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).


•Technical Aptitude:
Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, and architectural drawings.


•Communication:
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Must be a natural relationship builder and effective negotiator.
