Role Description — E-commerce Accountant

This is a full-time, on-site position based in
Qesm 2nd 6 October
.

The
E-commerce Accountant
is responsible for overseeing the financial health of ILEERA's online operations. The role includes managing daily sales transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliation between orders and payments, analyzing campaign performance and product profitability, and maintaining precise accounting records tailored to e-commerce workflows.

You will coordinate closely with Operations, Marketing, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure financial transparency and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile e-commerce transactions (online payments, wallets, COD, POS).
  • Track and reconcile sales across Shopify, marketplaces, and offline branches if applicable.
  • Record daily sales, returns, exchanges, discounts, cancellations, and issued refunds.
  • Calculate
    COGS
    , product profitability, and gross margin at SKU and campaign levels.
  • Monitor marketing costs (Facebook Ads, TikTok, influencer spends) and link them with revenue and ROAS.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
  • Reconcile logistics and shipping invoices with actual delivered/returned orders.
  • Work with payment gateways (Paymob, FawryPay, Stripe, etc.) to validate settlements and fees.
  • Track production and inventory costs with warehouse and manufacturing departments.
  • Maintain compliance with tax and financial regulations.
  • Support budget planning, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting —
    experience in fashion retail or e-commerce is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Inventory costing
  • Apparel SKU management
  • Product lifecycle (seasonal collections)
  • Returns and size exchanges
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, ERP systems).
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Familiarity with KPIs: ROAS, AOV, CAC, LTV, profitability per item/campaign.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, handle high transaction volumes, and maintain accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience (Plus)

  • Previous work with Shopify or similar platforms.
  • Reconciliation experience with shipping/3PL companies.
  • Experience in managing retail stock, collections, sizes, and seasonal cycles.
