Key responsibilities

  • Design and architecture:
     Create flowcharts and models to design software and ensure its operational feasibility.
  • Development:
     Write, debug, and test code in various programming languages to create new applications or develop existing ones.
  • Testing and maintenance:
     Evaluate and test software to ensure functionality, troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and perform regular upgrades.
  • Collaboration:
     Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, communicate project data, and provide technical guidance.
  • Documentation:
     Develop user manuals, technical specifications, and documentation for the software's functionality.
  • Deployment and feedback:
     Deploy applications and evaluate user feedback for future improvements.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Education:
     Typically a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical skills:
     Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, C++, Python), experience with software development lifecycles, and knowledge of databases, web frameworks, and development tools.
  • Problem-solving:
     Analytical thinking to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions.
  • Communication:
     Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Agile methodologies:
     Experience with agile development is often required.
