Primary Function:

Primary responsible for:

Providing technical support, maintaining IT systems, and assisting in deploying digital solutions across retail locations. The IT Specialist ensures smooth operation of hardware, software, and network infrastructure to support business continuity and customer experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities noted below are considered to be the essential functions of the job.

Technical Support & Maintenance

  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues across stores and offices.
  • Troubleshoot POS systems, printers, scanners, and other retail tech equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure timely upgrades or replacements.

Network & Systems Administration

  • Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining servers, routers, and firewalls.
  • Support cloud-based systems and data backups.

Retail Tech Operations

  • Ensure proper functioning of retail systems (POS, CRM, and ERP).
  • Coordinate with store teams to resolve tech-related disruptions quickly.

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce cybersecurity protocols and access controls.
  • Report and escalate security incidents to the IT Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and Egyptian data regulations.

Project Support

  • Assist in deploying new technologies and system upgrades.
  • Participate in testing and rollout of digital transformation initiatives.

Document technical procedures and user guides

Other Duties:

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional job-related duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances and working conditions.

Qualifications, Education and /or Experience Requirements:

Education; Bachelor's in Computer Science or IT (preferred)

Experience: 5+ years in IT management, preferably in retail or FMCG

Technical Skills: ERP, POS, CRM, cloud platforms, cybersecurity

Soft skills: strategic thinking, communication, problem solving.

Language: Arabic Native – English good.
