The Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and improving the organization's IT infrastructure. This role includes supporting hardware, software, and network solutions that enhance operational efficiency within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless technology integration that supports project management and communication efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications systems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems from potential threats.
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the rollout of new technology and system upgrades to improve operational efficiency.
  • Train employees on new software and technology platforms pertinent to the construction industry.
  • Collaborate with project managers to identify and fulfill technology needs for ongoing projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or a related role, preferably within the construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, servers, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, along with common software applications.
  • Experience with project management software and construction management tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical staff.
