The Infrastructure Section Head will lead the design, implementation, and strategic management of Lychee's IT infrastructure. This role is crucial to ensuring
system reliability, scalability, security
, and smooth operation across all business units.

Who are we?

Lychee is the leading player in the rapidly growing healthy food industry in Egypt, with a unique and highly scalable position in the market that combines a healthy fast- food retail arm and a manufacturing arm for healthy packaged foods. Most notably fresh juices and Greek yogurt.

As part of our greater mission to make healthier food choices accessible and sustainable for people's everyday lifestyle - we're extending our commitment to the region with our entry into the Saudi Arabian market, with a substantial retail expansion plan and on-ground operations starting Q2, 2025 in Riyadh.

Lychee relies on both its manufacturing capabilities and brand recognition built over a decade to expand its retail operations seamlessly based on customer demand and to scale its existing presence in modern trade, traditional trade and quick commerce.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the infrastructure and manage on-premise and cloud-based systems.
  • Develop and execute infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Ensure uptime, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness across all systems.
  • Manage the planning and rollout of infrastructure projects (e.g., system migrations, new site setups).
  • Oversee cybersecurity practices, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and data backup protocols.
  • Supervise hardware/software procurement and full lifecycle management.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to drive infrastructure efficiency and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with data security standards, IT policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Retail, HR, Finance) to tailor infrastructure support to their needs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners for licensing, support, and upgrades.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of systems, architecture, and processes.
  • Provide hands-on support for high-priority issues and critical incidents.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in IT Infrastructure management
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows environments, network architecture, and cloud platforms
  • Proven Experience in managing firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and backup solutions
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection standards
  • Strong Leadership, project management, and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high resilience
  • Ability to handle urgent requests and work flexible hours if required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
