Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, for an Accountant Section Head. The Accountant Section Head will oversee the accounting team and manage day-to-day financial tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role also involves monitoring budgets, overseeing audits, implementing financial strategies, and ensuring proper tax compliance. Collaboration with other departments and providing strategic financial insights will be integral to the role.

Qualifications

  • Strong accounting and financial management skills, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and budget monitoring
  • Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Leadership and team management capabilities to oversee and guide the accounting department
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus
  • Experience in construction or infrastructure industries is considered an advantage
