**Head of People **for one of our partners, blabs.

The Head of People of b_labs will provide high quality leadership and oversight on the development and delivery of b_labs’ people strategy. The position manages the provision of effective and professional human resources services and advice. This includes the design and day-to-day implementation of relevant HR policies and strategic initiatives to ensure we recruit, retain and promote highly skilled and motivated people in every area of our work. b_labs’ Head of People is tasked with ensuring that employees are happy, healthy and productive.

Key elements to the role will be the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and committed group of managers and their teams; be “hands-on” when required; and encourage on organizational culture that supports effective behaviors and ways of working that demonstrate clear commitment to b_labs’ values, mission and vision.

The Head of People has a lot of responsibility on their shoulders. She or he must ensure that all employees are treated fairly and equally regardless of race, gender or religion. She or he will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies related to employee benefits, compensation, training, safety, etc.

b_labs’ Head of People will contribute regularly to b_labs’ organizational learning and strategy development, be an active member of the Organizational Management team, and engage regularly with the Executive Team.

As an integrative member, she or he is actively contributing to the creation of a safe, collaborative, growth-focused, purposeful, values-driven, and diverse company culture across all organizational levels.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Organizational Leadership and Strategy Development**:

- Lead on the development and implementation of b_labs’ HR strategy, ensuring it meets organizational priorities and promotes diversity, inclusion and quality among staff - periodically reviewing strategy outcomes to ensure it remains relevant to changing organizational needs and circumstances and stays linked to other support function/operational strategies.
- Maintain and develop HR information systems and explore new technologies where appropriate - introducing and overseeing the preparation and analysis of HR metrics and providing feedback that supports decision-making in specified areas.
- Provide regular advice, guidance, and where necessary challenge to the Executive Director and Executive Team members on strategic people management, performance and development issues.

Team Leadership**:

- Lead a team of specialists responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR services and risk functions, and further develop an effective business partnership model that is responsive and agile, and meeting expectations of internal stakeholders.
- Promote the professional development of the team and facilitate ongoing performance management including, but not limited to; objective setting, identifying learning and development needs, coaching, and welfare.
- Motivate, encourage and support HR staff in the design and delivery of high-quality services.
- Create and maintain key performance indicators - ensuring external good practice and thinking is reflected internally.
- Maintain HR information systems and the financial planning of the department.
- Support cross-organizational working practices that ensure the HR team influences, and is influenced by, organizational discussions, lessons and decisions

- Take responsibility for the core deliverables of the people team.
- Ensure innovative recruitment and succession planning is in place: oversee fair and effective processes to attract and bring on board new staff while processing learning from the experiences of those who leave.
