Job Title: Regional Adviser - Public Health Specialist

World Health Organization is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Regional Adviser - Public Health Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Regional Adviser - Public Health Specialist will provide technical advice and support to Member States in the development and implementation of public health programs and policies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public health, with experience in policy development, program management, and technical advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and support to Member States in the development and implementation of public health programs and policies.
  • Assist in the development of national capacity for public health program implementation.
  • Support Member States in the development, adaptation, and use of technologies and approaches aimed at promoting proper nutrition and protecting from malnutrition and its consequences.
  • Coordinate the design of frameworks and guidelines for Member States and their institutions.
  • Lead and expand WHO's leadership in assigned areas of specialization.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Medicine, Public Health, or related field.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in public health, with experience in policy development, program management, and technical advisory services.
  • Expert knowledge of English.
