**EHS&S LEAD Specialist**

Today, we are recruiting for **EHS LEAD Environmental **position to Join our Team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for EHS Professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

**What are my responsibilities?**

Environment and Social (E&S) Management:

- Implementing and coordinating the Environment and Social Management System (ESMS) for the project.
- Initiating and Coordinating E&S management training for staff along with the E&S management procedures.
- Reporting any potential E&S issues before they impact the project.
- Ensuring that all decisions are evaluated against the loan agreement and project ESAP requirements.
- Conducting site visits, monitoring the implementation of E&S action plan, and ongoing E&S performance.
- Resolving E&S issues in case of non-compliance, and where needed, preparing a timebound corrective action plan with specific follow-up procedures.
- In this exciting role you will carry out regular E&S compliance audits on the project, including accommodation, canteen, hazardous material storage, waste, etc.

E&S Management System Monitoring (ESMS) 14001
- You will be expected to ensure that ESME are implemented and that records of environmental and social reviews (i.e., appraisal and monitoring) are maintained.
- Enhancing the ESMS to ensure practices and policies are aligned to regulatory or other requirements and global trends and standards.

E&S Reporting
- Collecting the E&S data from site teams to feed into the quarterly E&S Self-Monitoring Report and preparing them to lenders.
- Coordinating day-to-day E&S tasks performed by other staff (i.e. H&S engineers, consultants, etc.).
- Reviewing and providing constructive comments on the IESC Construction Monitoring Report and to the IESC.
- You will be expected to Assign and distribute the various site-specific actions, provided in the Remedial Action Plan, within the IESC Construction Monitoring Report, to the contractors for implementation.
- Follow up on the close out of the action plan items, for each contractor.
- Update the E&S Self-Monitoring Report and supporting Appendices, to include any new items or findings identified by the IESC.

**What do I need to qualify for this job?**
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental management or equivalent, master’s degree will be an advantage.
- 7 years’ experience in environment and social management, including experience in civil construction and infrastructure.
- Experience in working on a financed (EPC-F) project, under IFC/EBRD/EP or equivalent international standards.

- Liaison with both corporate and site level personnel.
- Leading and supervising field data collection.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and validating the data provided.
- Technical report writing.
- Presenting and communicating information to stakeholders.

Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Egyptian Environmental regulatory requirements and standards.
- Ability to manage reporting lines across multiple entities and committees.
- Excellent English speaking and writing ability.
- Familiar with processes for developing, revising, monitoring, and implementing corporate policies and manuals.
- Knowledge and skill in the operation of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
